    Common questions

    Common questions

What does this cost against a receptionist salary?

A front desk hire in India typically costs ₹20,000 to ₹35,000 a month per shift, and covers one shift only. The Medical Companion agent answers every call, all hours, at a fixed monthly fee plus usage. Most hospitals keep their desk staff and hand the routine call volume to the agent.

What happens when the agent gets something wrong?

It answers only from your knowledge base, so it does not invent information. When it is unsure, out of scope, or the patient asks for a person, it transfers the call to your desk. Every call has a full transcript and a call reference ID, so you can review exactly what was said.

How do patients react to an AI on the phone?

The agent introduces itself, speaks Hindi, English or Hinglish, and switches language mid-call. Patients mainly care that the call is answered on the first ring and the booking is done. Anyone who wants a human is transferred.

    How long does deployment take?

Usually one to two weeks. We load your knowledge base, set guard rails and calling rules, connect your number and your scheduler, run test calls with your team, then turn the agent on.
